A Bit about Doodleoo Cards

Handmade and Unique Cards.

     Personally, I don't love to buy cheap, easily-duplicated cards at stores like Bartell's or the Dollar Store. Don't get me wrong, those things are quick and easy for last minute gifts. Still, they lack an element of sentiment and enthusiasm that I desire.

     At Doodleoo Cards, I feel that I can give people the best of both worlds: quick and creative. For instance, it can be hard with a busy schedule to sit down and create a nice hand-written card. Even when you do have some free time, it can also be difficult to know where to start! This is one of the reasons I created this business - to give other people satisfaction in an easy way. I've already done half the work; all you need to do is sign, seal, and deliver. Another driving factor for creating this shop is that I love to see the smile of happiness and appreciation on people's faces as they receive a card. 

     The business Doodleoo Cards originated during the beginning of Quarantine. Just like many small businesses, it started very small. For example, in April of 2020, Doodleoo Cards wasn't even a thought in my mind. I, the owner, was simply trying to reach out to my friends and family members without picking up my cellphone. It was more creative and fun! I didn't and still don't think that (most of the time) a text message could mean more than a handmade letter. I believe that each person I sent a card to valued the effort, thoughtfulness, details, and time I put into them. After a while, though, I had to stop because of other priorities in my life, like school. However, at the end of the summer when my school friends created a lip gloss business, I decided I would use my cards as an inspiration to make one as well. Since then, it has been off and on, but I'm back and committed now to running this online store!

     Overall, no matter if I have a bustling site or a few regular customers, I will always be grateful for the opportunity to spread love and joy.
